Black Dog House is actually two C19th stone-built terraced cottages joined together to provide a well-proportioned home over 3 floors. It has been taken back to the bare bones and refurbished with comfort in mind. At 1722 square feet, there is plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing indoors and out.

The house has been rewired  and  a brand new oil fired boiler runs the central heating and hot water which can be programmed for daily variations. There are also solar panels that generate enough power to heat the hot water without using the boiler unless there is a real houseful having lots of baths, in which case the boiler tops it up. All the windows are new and double glazed, keeping the heat in and drafts out.

The bathrooms, kitchen and decoration throughout  (including carpets and flooring) has recently been completed, making it a fresh and homely place to relax and enjoy a holiday.

Wifi is available throughout the house for anyone to use, and there is a landline for incoming calls. Mobile reception is generally available within the house but can be intermittent depending on provider. Stepping outside the front door usually solves connectivity problems!

Black Dog House has a strict No Smoking policy, but there is plenty of outside space with seating for those who do smoke. Well behaved pets are welcome but must be discussed at initial enquiry stage.
